00014 The Last Friendship 最後的友誼

來了新加坡這兩年，回去吉隆坡的次數十根手指頭都不夠數，其主要的原因都是朋友的婚禮。每一趟的旅程，花車費，買機票從來都是自己淘腰包，當然住宿更不用說。當然也有朋友也盡地主之誼，租下旅館。每一次這樣的回去，都會在吉隆坡呆個至少兩天三夜。經常性的去吉隆坡，有一些在新加坡的朋友就以開玩笑的口吻問我，這樣的回去值得嗎？如果今天換是你在砂勞越美里擺喜酒，是否這一些朋友也會像你一樣自己買機票，租旅館來你的婚禮？

我感到很茫然。我真的不知道多少個人真的會為我這樣的去付出。這樣的問題問多了，我就告訴身邊的朋友，參加婚禮只不過是給自己一個理由回去度假。

我一直都在問，這些年建立的友誼，經過歲月的洗禮，有多少又會真正是身邊的好朋友？多少朋友又在成家立業後；那個友誼因家庭的存在而退色？這種朋友婚後孤單候群症對身邊單身的朋友特別有感觸。當身邊朋友一個一個開始有了自己的天地後，或許＂你＂已經沒有存在的意義。或許別人的歡樂聲已經不會在和你共享。

 

或許每一次的回去都是為了看最後的友誼。享受那種即將逝去的關係。

 

I has been going back to Kuala Lumpur for my friends' wedding more than 10 times since I moved over to Singapore. Most of the times I have paid for my own flight ticket, bus ticket as well as my accommodation. Normally I will stay over there for about 2 days 3 nights. Because I travel quite frequents, some of my friends will ask me it is worth to travel like this. Let said this turn is your wedding in Miri, Sarawak, will your friend do the same things to you as well? They will buy their own flight ticket and accommodation just for your wedding?

Honestly I don't know who will do such things to me? Who will did the same things I did for them before. When such a question keep threw to me, I told my friend, wedding is just a reason for me to go back to Kuala Lumpur for holidays.

I did question myself for several years, the friendship I built, how many will retain after many years. Who will stay with me after many years? How many friendship will remain even though the status is different? When one of your friend found his or her the other half, the friendship bond between us will getting weak. Our "existing" may not seem important to them anymore. They happiness may not agains share with us.

May be every time when I go back to Kuala Lumpur, I am trying to enjoy the last great moment of our friendship before it end without my knowledge.

It had been long time I didn't update my english blog. Everytime when I try to write something, i found there is no topic for me to share or sometime i found that the topic is too difficult to share in english. I am from chinese school background, my english is not as good as those who are english user. 

Wedding Dinner at Ipoh

I went to Ipoh on 18 May 2008 attending my ex-company colleague wedding. Together with my camera, I follow one of my ex-company colleague’s cars. We took about 2 and half hours driving from KL to Ipoh. About 6:30 p.m. we reach the restaurant which is 30 minute late from the time the dinner supposed to be started. However the dinner was delayed to 7:30 p.m. as most of the invited guess still on the way.

About 7:00 p.m. most of my ex-company colleagues had arrived. It had been more than 2 years I didn’t meet up some of them. Before I decided to attend this wedding dinner, I ask Ms Chong whether I would be allocated to seat together with my ex-boss; she told me that I will be seat together with them. However when they reached, they decided to sit same table with me. We had good conversation throughout the dinner. I took some picture with them.

I never regret resigned from Perunding PL Sdn Bhd. But to me, I earned a lot from there. I earn friendship and knowledge from there. It is very tough to gone through one year in PL, but to me, I had learn a lot. It turn me from a fresh that knew nothing and when I left even I still knew nothing but at least I had learn something that other people may need to spent many years to learn about that. After working for more than 2 years in my current company, I still found that the knowledge I gain at PL really very useful in my current job. I would to thanks my ex-boss Mr Lee Chee Leik and Mr Lee Chaw Wah for train me when I was fresh from the University. I wish to thanks my big brother Dickson and my big sister Chong. They really help me a lot during my time at PL especially when I made some big mistake. Even they like to bully me, but I really enjoy working together them.


This wedding was held at IPOH, which is about 200 km from Kuala Lumpur. All PL member drove all the way up just to attend a pre-wedding dinner (the actually dinner will be the next day). During most of the time, Chong had her own thing to work,but every member enjoy the dinner. THIS IS WHAT A FAMILY CALL. Boss support, colleague support and friend support.

To Built a Company, support from all the member is needed. :)

Hanoi...... I am Coming

I just bought a flight ticket to Hanoi Vietnam from 25 Jan 2009 until 03 Feb 2009. It cost me about RM289. Although 5 Day leaves need to be taken, I am sure it is worst to have such a long trip.
I had been Cambodia early of 2008. It was a short trip – 3 days 2 nights. I went there with one of my ex-colleague and 2 of his friends (now also my friends). We reached at Cambodia above evening time. With a short dinner, we departed from Phnom Phem to Siem Reap. This journey took us 6 hours driving time and we sleep in the car all the way to siem riap. This was first time in my life sleeping in the car. Reaching at Siem Reap about 2 a.m. local time, any way we continues slept in the car. The next day early morning, we were rushing to Angkok Wat to have a fast visiting of selected pagodas. By the end of the day, we left Siem Reap and drove back to Phnom Phem. This took us 6 hours again and reached the city about 1:00 a.m. With short rest, the next day we went to visit the palace and museum and had lunch before leaving Cambodia and back to Malaysia.

To me, for this trip, I found that the trip was too short. We are not really visiting the Cambodia. According to my tour guide, in order to have a complete visit on the Angkok Wat, 4 days trip is needed. Some people suggested in order visiting Cambodia, 5 days trip was needed with 4 days at Siem Reap and 1 day Phnom Phem.
After considering all these issues and together with the feedback of other people that had experience to Hanoi, we finally come to conclusion – 7 days trip for Hanoi trip is needed. I hope this time my trip to Hanoi will be an enjoyable trip.

My New Camera

I like photography. I received my first own camera during my first year in university. At that time, no digital camera was in the market yet. All we knew was film camera. This camera was given by my uncle to me. It was my first time has to leave my family and study at another piece of land, so I planned to have a camera that can capture nice scenes to send back to my family. When my uncle knew that I want to buy a camera, he gave me his camera. It was my first prosumer camera. I had no chance to capture this camera. This camera had being with me for 3 years. I had taken a lot of photo during those days and spent a lot of money because of film and produce the photo. Year 2001 later, digital camera starts getting more popular. However SLR camera was not porpula, and the quality of the picture taken was very poor.
In year 2003 end of the year (around November) I decided to by my first digital camera. It was my final year in University. I get pay from my part time job. Due to the demand on the functionality of the camera and price range of the camera, I had make decision to choose prosumer camera. I had spent more than 2 month time to do survey on the functionality and price of the prosumer camera. From hundred type of camera with different brands, I finally decided on Olympus and Panasonic. I spent quite some time on this model especially Olympus ultra zoom series and of course at the end I bought my Olympus C-750。



For my pass for year, I had been used this camera to take a lot of nice picture. Last year a month before I went to Cambodia trip, some problem occurs on my camera – the memory card was spoiled. I did go to a lot of camera shop even Olympus support center to buy the memories card and they told me the card was no more in the production. Luckily I went to one shop in the One U and get the card. From that, I decide to buy myself a new camera – DSLR. For few month searches in the web and study on the functionality of the camera, finally I come to canon and Nikon. It is not easy to make decision in between two type of camera which provides almost equivalent functionality. Both of them have their own pro and con.


Finally I make and decision, Canon 40D with 2 lenses 15-55 IS and 55 – 250 IS. Cost me a lot, but to me it worth with the price. The technology behind the model was not as simple as what normal camera is.

My Blog - The Beginning

It is not easy to write something. For 4 years, I almost have no chance to write a proper passage either in workspace or other place. To me, each time when I read some article which is very good, I felt like want to write something by my own. However when I start want to write something, my brain get blank, nothing come out from inside. This recently, I need to write something, however I had spent more than 3 hours time and only can produce 5 line messages.
So I felt that I need to sharpen my writing skill as well as my English. As a Chinese educated person, I seldom write in English. To me, English is my nightmare. I hope by write something in English will help me to improve my English as well as my writing skill.
